Privacy Policy

AION2 Dex (aion2dex.com) is an unofficial fan site for AION 2 Global. This policy explains what information the site handles, why, and the choices you have. You can use the site without an account, and we do not ask you for personal information.

Information we collect

From visitors

• There are no visitor accounts, sign-ups, or forms that collect personal information.
• When you search for a character, the name you enter is sent from our server to the official AION 2 website to find matching characters. We do not store what you typed. If the search finds max-level characters, we add them to the list of characters checked for rankings. Like any page request, a search address may appear in our hosting provider's temporary logs (see below).
• We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and visits. When a page loads, a small script sends Cloudflare the page address (without the query string), the referring site, page load timing, and your browser, operating system, device type, and country. It does not use cookies or local storage, and Cloudflare says it does not track visitors across websites. We see only totals, not individual visitors.
• We do not use other analytics or tracking tools.

Public game data

To show rankings and character pages, we collect character information that the official AION 2 website makes public: character name, server, class, race, level, combat power, item level, equipped items, and profile image. Combat power history for ranked characters is kept for up to 90 days. Character pages are refreshed from the official website about once an hour, and stored copies are kept for up to 7 days so the page can still be shown when the official website is unavailable.

To count server population, we record the IDs of characters found in the official character search, without names or other details. Characters outside the rankings are kept as IDs only and checked again about once a month.

We also show popular Style Shop posts from the official website (post title, author name, and images). We store a resized copy of each post's image to show it on this site.

Hosting and server logs

The site runs on Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser information to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and may keep this in temporary logs. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Character profile images (and Style Shop images we have not copied yet) are loaded from the official AION 2 image servers, and dungeon video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube. Those servers receive your IP address and browser information when your browser loads the images.

Cookies and local storage

• We do not set cookies for visitors. Our analytics tool does not use cookies or local storage.
• The admin area uses a sign-in cookie for the site operator only. It is kept for up to 7 days.
• Some tools remember your choices in your browser's local storage: the region you picked on the Schedule page, the prices you entered in the Manastone calculator, and the material prices and crafting proficiency you entered in the crafting cost calculator on item pages. This stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it in your browser settings.
• Third-party services may set their own cookies, as described in the YouTube and Advertising sections below.

YouTube content

The home page and the Dungeons page show guide videos from YouTube. AION2 Dex uses YouTube API Services to show video titles and thumbnails, and links open the videos on YouTube. We store only the video IDs and short notes we choose. Video titles are cached for up to one day.

By viewing YouTube content through this site, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Advertising

AION2 Dex may display ads served by Google AdSense and other third-party ad networks. When ads are shown:

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising atwww.aboutads.info.

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
